About Me
Sajani Patel, LPC
I have been a therapist since 2003. I have been doing diversity, cultural competency, and racial equity work professionally since 2006. My business, Asha Ray was developed in 2018. I have been active in my community, serving it through various roles: therapist, racial equity trainer and consultant, volunteer at social justice programs, board member of feminist organizations, co-chair of a county early childhood council, program manager and clinician at social services agencies, clinical supervisor, consultant to nonprofits, and an advocate.
I believe that people can create change, adjust to adverse experiences, and overcome hardships. I also believe in the resiliency and power in people to heal, learn from mistakes, build skills, create healthy relationships, develop a sense of security, and be happy. In therapy, you can expect a safe and supportive therapeutic process and space. My style is open, strength-based, and collaborative. I am direct and use humor.
I understand the impact of systemic racism, sexism and homophobia, social injustices, trauma, and toxic stress on people and the community.
